Cllr K. McKeon (LA)
Chair
I am a retired secondary school teacher. My background and experience in education equip me with the skills and knowledge to be an informed governor of Chorley New Rd. I am very supportive of the school that serves the community I represent and have personal experience of the care it gives to its pupils. My interest is in education but my passion is politics!

Mrs Sadie Maxwell
Vice-Chair
Hello, my name is Sadie Maxwell. I am a new governor for Chorley New Road school. I am married with two adult children and have a grandchild who is in year 3/4 at the school. We have lived in Horwich for 25 years. I have worked with children all my life and have been a primary school teacher for the past 30 years. I really enjoy spending time with young children and have been privileged to be part of their learning and development. My interests include drawing, reading, swimming, singing with a choir, and trips away in our camper van. I am looking forward to supporting the school in any way that I can.

Jade Lyons
AHT at Rivington and Blackrod School
As a governor at CNR since 2022, it is a real pleasure and privilege to be working alongside a team of staff who are inclusive and forward thinking, who continually put the needs of their pupils first. I have 14 years’ experience as a Secondary school teacher of Business Studies working within the Bolton area, during which time I have gained a breadth of knowledge across a variety of middle and senior roles. For the past 6 years I have been working at Rivington and Blackrod High school as Assistant Headteacher with the responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning.
I look forward to continuing to work in and serve the Horwich community, pupils, families and staff through my governor role at CNR, and hope to support in contributing to the future successes of an inspiring school.
